15th C. medieval castle-palace. The orchard of La Vera and El Tietar, among gorges and natural landscapes, protects this fortification which was home to Emperor Charles V. The swimming pool is surrounded by olive trees, orange trees, and views of the Gredos mountains. Noble coats of arms, turrets, a drawbridge, and an arms courtyard adorn an interior with forged metal lamps, wooden beams, and intimate lighting.
